People Operations Generalist (Contract)

Join our team as a People Operations Generalist on a contract basis. In this role, you will serve as a day-to-day resource for employees and managers, providing guidance on company policies, benefits, leave, and general HR matters. You will support employee relations, offboarding, benefits administration, and employee leave administration. Additionally, you will assist with HR reporting, compliance requests, and other People Operations needs that arise during the coverage period. This is a remote-first position with flexible time off and a comprehensive benefits package.

• Serve as a day-to-day People Operations resource for employees and managers, responding to questions regarding company policies, benefits, and HR matters.
• Support employee relations matters, including gathering information, documenting concerns, and escalating complex or high-risk matters to leadership.
• Assist with employee changes such as promotions, compensation adjustments, title changes, transfers, and other employment updates.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 3–5+ years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, or an HR Generalist role
• Ability to provide practical HR guidance to employees and managers and appropriately escalate higher-risk matters
• Strong judgment, discretion, and experience handling confidential employee information
• Experience supporting benefits, employee leaves, offboarding, and employment changes
• Strong experience supporting employee relations and day-to-day HR matters
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance requirements
• Rippling experience preferred
