Term: Full-time, 9-month, 2 years The Division of Kinesiology, Health, and Sport Studies in the College of Education at Wayne State University seeks a full-time, 9-month Assistant Professor – Teaching (non-tenure track) with specialization in Exercise and Sport Science to teach courses, advise students, and provide service to the program/division/college/university.

Responsibilities

• Teach face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online courses in the Exercise and Sport Science undergraduate and graduate programs.
• Advise undergraduate and graduate students related to coursework, internships, and career preparation.
• Assist with the WSU Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and Committee on Accreditation for the Exercise Sciences (CoAES) accreditation systems.
• Coordinate undergraduate-level initiatives and programs (i.e., Honors option, student organization, professional development activities, student success initiatives, etc.).
• Assist divisional and program faculty and administrators with student recruitment and retention initiatives, program assessment, establishing field/practicum experience sites, and other duties required to meet organizational needs.
• Participate in service activities that support the Division, College, University, and profession.
