Develop comprehensive equipment technical specifications based on current module needs and future technology roadmaps

Manage the full procurement cycle: supplier identification, RFQ preparation, technical evaluations, equipment demonstrations, benchmark studies, vendor scoring, and final recommendations

Conduct rigorous technical assessments of equipment from global suppliers, focusing on capability, maturity, uptime, and long-term supportability

Define tool acceptance criteria (FAT/SAT), installation requirements, qualification plans, and negotiate technical commercial terms including spares and service agreements

Track emerging equipment technologies in logic nodes; provide strategic input into procurement decisions and CAPEX planning

Support new line setup, capacity expansion, and overall equipment investment strategy tied to Tesla’s need

Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field, or equivalent experience

Minimum 7+ years of experience in semiconductor equipment procurement, capital equipment buying, or equipment engineering with a strong procurement focus

Solid module-level understanding of semiconductor or IC substrate fabrication processes (Plating, Etch, Lithography, CMP, Cleaning, etc.)

Demonstrated success leading technical equipment selection and procurement projects in high-volume manufacturing environments
