Water System Operator (SH)

Job Purpose

Monitors and operates the water system using the SCADA System. Routinely works in the field collecting water quality samples, monitoring water quality, and investigating customer water quality inquiries. All activities are logged and reported to the system Supervisor.

Primary Functions

Ensure the quality of water throughout the distribution system meets or exceeds all regulatory requirements and the expectations of our customers; Identify problems and coordinate with Water Production Maintenance; Coordinate activities with both internal and external customers as required; Respond to emergency or unusual conditions with minimum supervision; Perform distribution system flushing and sampling; Perform other duties as assigned.
