Dept Administrator R1 - Dept. of Sociology

The UNM Department of Sociology Criminology is seeking a highly motivated, collegial, and student-oriented professional to serve as our Department Administrator R1 . Our department is a vibrant intellectual community of approximately 18 full-time faculty, 40 graduate students, and 600 undergraduate majors in Sociology and Criminology. We are looking for an experienced administrator with demonstrated supervisory and team-building skills, strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with others, often on tight timelines.

The Department Administrator R1 plays a crucial leadership role in the department. The person in this position will oversee and administer programs, strategies, and initiatives designed to develop, enhance, and support the mission of our department. They will also oversee all internal and external business activities, accounting and finance, and human resources, and manage and coordinate facility and resource management, information services, and general department administration.

Working closely with the Chair and faculty as a member of the department's leadership team, they will contribute to strategic and operational decision-making and organizational planning. **The final salary for this position is dependent upon total education and experience **
