Senior Software Engineer (Dataplane Development)

You will work closely with a highly-experienced engineering team and be responsible for designing and developing software for real-time network applications on a multi-core architecture. • Design and develop software for real-time network applications on a multi-core architecture, focusing on high-performance packet and security service processing capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to work on challenging problems, bring in new ideas for platform optimization, and ensure the successful implementation of new features.
• Develop best practices and guidelines for software development, and provide mentorship to junior engineers in the team.

• The candidate must have a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field of study and have 5-10 years of hands-on experience
• Hands-on experience with packet processing pipelines
• Prior experience having built a scalable and high-performance system is a plus
• Exhibit strong skills in C/C++
• Experience of working with Ethernet/QAT/LTE/Wifi/SRIOV/virtio/vmxnet3/OVS interfaces is a plus
• Troubleshooting critical customer issues on a timely manner
• Preferable to have prior experience working with DPDK and multicore systems
• Expertise with general routing/switching, routing protocols (e.g BGP, OSPF), branch and DataCenter Architectures
• Strong Linux Kernel development experience will be plus
• Expertise with Remote Access VPN solutions, IPSEC, PKI & SSL is a plus
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP and advanced knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies
• Thorough understanding of performance benchmarks and ability to analyze the same
