Director of Product (Enterprise Platform)

Join Axion as the Director of Product (Enterprise Platform), a player-coach role where you will lead the product team while personally owning an important product area. You will be responsible for the Enterprise Platform, including APIs, integrations, workspaces, permissions, governance, and reliability requirements. You will spend half your time as a functional leader and the other half as an individual contributor. Success in your first year will be measured by meaningful customer and business results, improved product quality and learning, and stronger judgment and ownership from the product team.

• Lead the product team while personally owning an important product area, specifically the Enterprise Platform.
• Set the product direction for APIs, integrations, workspaces, permissions, governance, audit, and reliability in close partnership with customers, Design, and Engineering.
• Manage and coach a small team of PMs, raising product judgment and craft while preserving clear ownership.

• Product operations instinct: you have installed planning, review, and metric practices on a team that did not have them
• Technical judgment strong enough to earn engineering's trust and to make architecture-adjacent calls without deferring every one of them
• Depth in enterprise platform product: APIs, integrations, permissions, governance, reliability, or AI
• Executive presence: you can hold a room with our CEO, our customers, and our board, and you can disagree in it
• Experience as a player-coach: you have led PMs while owning meaningful scope yourself, and you are not looking to stop building
• Comfort with ambiguity and with detail. We are a company that argues about specifics, and the people who do well here find that energizing rather than exhausting
• Building production AI, agent, workflow automation, data, or enterprise platform products
• Working in manufacturing, quality, reliability, or another complex operational domain
• Experience at a company that scaled from Series B through the enterprise readiness curve
