Data Engineer

Join Xcimer, a clean energy company, as a Data Engineer. In this hands-on role, you will integrate and maintain critical data systems across engineering, manufacturing, and business operations. You will build and maintain data pipelines, implement monitoring and error-handling practices, and collaborate across various domains to deliver fit-for-purpose tools. You will also support data governance efforts and drive clear, well-documented process and tool rollouts.

• Construire et maintenir des pipelines de données et des intégrations entre divers systèmes d'entreprise.
• Mettre en œuvre des pratiques de surveillance, d'alerte et de gestion des erreurs pour les pipelines de données.
• Collaborer avec des équipes interfonctionnelles pour livrer des outils adaptés aux besoins.

• Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
• Experience building interactive dashboards and visualizations (e.g. Plotly/Dash, Streamlit, or similar)
• Proficient in Python and SQL; familiarity with Spark (PySpark/Spark SQL) strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL pipelines, relational databases and SQL Experience with the Databricks Lakehouse platform (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, workflows) and AWS S3 cloud object storage
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
• Proven ability to learn new technical domains quickly and translate complex systems into robust tools
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering for an aerospace, defense, semiconductor, or other advanced manufacturing/R&D company
