Assistant Professor (Athletic Training)

POSITION: Assistant Professor in Athletic Training (MSAT), School of Kinesiology, University of Louisiana at Lafayette, nine-month tenure track appointment. This position will report to the Director of the School of Kinesiology.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• A tenure track faculty member is expected to Excel in teaching, develop a strong research agenda, engage in service, and be an active team member to advance the School of Kinesiology in alignment with our vision and mission.
• Work with colleagues to continually assess and improve the CAATE accredited program.
• Teaching focus will center on MSAT program needs with the possibility of undergraduate kinesiology courses housed in the Pre-Athletic Training concentration.
• Assist with student advising in the Pre-Athletic Training concentration.

ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT

• UL Lafayette (R1) is the largest of nine publicly supported universities in the University of Louisiana system with an enrollment of approximately 19,000 students (as of fall 2025).
• The School of Kinesiology houses both graduate (M.S. in Athletic Training and Kinesiology) and undergraduate programs (B.S.
• Health and Physical Education, Exercise Science, Sport Management, Health Promotion and Wellness) with over a total of 1000 enrolled students.
• The facilities include a 1500+ sq. ft. human performance laboratory and athletic training laboratory.
