Extra Help - Physical Therapist - Physical Therapy

Position Summary

The Extra Help (EH) Physical Therapist (PT) is responsible for the provision of physical therapy services within her or his individual scope of clinical competence including: examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, development and implementation of a plan of care that includes direct intervention, communication, collaboration and patient education and the evaluation of outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional therapy services in accordance with the standards established by the professional association and other relevant regulatory requirements.
• Supervise Physical Therapist students.
• The EH PT is also responsible for upholding professional standards and promoting quality in practice.
• EH PT are responsible for administrative tasks related to the patient care services they provide and required for regulatory and organizational compliance.
• Complete administrative and regulatory tasks required as an employee of the UI Health and for practice as a licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Illinois.
• Other related duties as assigned.
• (Alternative productivity expectations may be determined within this classification based on fluctuating needs of the department) Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
