Head of Talent

Join Exa, a fast-growing AI startup, as the Head of Talent. In this strategic leadership role, you will build and manage Exa's entire hiring engine, working directly with the founders and CoS to shape the company's early organization structure and attract top research talent. You will personally source, assess, and close high-impact hires, design interview processes, and build scalable recruiting workflows. • 6+ years of recruiting or talent leadership experience in high-growth tech companies
• A builder mindset — you want to create systems, not just run them
• Comfort working directly with founders in a fast-moving environment
• Proven ability to operate as both strategist and closer
• Experience hiring for both technical and GTM roles
• Experience at a top-tier startup or scale-up
• Experience building recruiting teams from scratch
• Technical literacy (you can comfortably talk to engineers and understand what makes them great)
