Business Development Representative

Join Betterment, a leading digital investment platform, as a Business Development Representative. In this role, you will drive top-of-funnel growth across Betterment's retirement and advisor solutions businesses. You will be responsible for outbound prospecting, identifying and engaging potential clients, and qualifying leads before handing them off to Account Executives. This is a high-energy, activity-heavy role that requires a self-starter with a strong interest in financial products and retirement planning.

• Prospect small and mid-sized businesses, financial advisors, and independent RIAs to build a pipeline for Betterment's retirement and advisor solutions.
• Utilize outbound tactics such as email sequences, cold calling, and LinkedIn to generate new opportunities and assist the sales process.
• Clearly articulate Betterment’s value proposition and products to prospects, ensuring effective and consistent use of Salesforce and other prospecting tools.

• Relentless in your pursuit of success and are willing to put in the extra effort to achieve your goals
• No experience necessary, however recent sales (or sales adjacent) experience is a plus (i.e. recruiting, real estate, or non-profit experience)
• Demonstrated track record of high performance
• High energy and willingness to learn
• Experience with sales & marketing technology stack
• Strong oral and written communication skills with even stronger listening skills
• Curiosity and interest for financial products and retirement planning
• B2B tech/SaaS sales experience as an SDR/BDR is a plus
