Job Description

Join Anthropic, a leading AI safety and research company, as a Strategic Projects Lead. In this high-autonomy role, you'll tackle complex, cross-cutting initiatives that span multiple teams and require strategic decision-making. You'll work closely with various teams involved in hiring, drive work forward through partnership, and ensure a coherent approach to recruiting over time. This position offers a competitive salary, equity packages, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to make a significant impact in the field of AI safety.

  • Coordination and follow-through on complex, cross-cutting recruiting initiatives.
  • Building trust across senior stakeholders and influencing decisions in recruiting operations.
  • Owning the operating rhythm across teams that support recruiting, including planning and review processes.
  • Have taken a big process or policy change through an organization end to end and made it stick
  • Have been part of a talent team or partnered closely with one, and understand how recruiting operates day to day
  • Can lose a decision cleanly: disagree, commit, and execute with full credibility, knowing which calls are reversible and which aren't
  • Set the strategy and vision for your area rather than executing someone else's plan
  • Have put AI to work in real workflows: redesigning process, automating the repetitive layer, and shipping faster
  • Have 8-10+ years in program management, business operations, chief of staff, or people/talent roles at a fast-growing company, with increasing scope over time
  • Create structure and clarity in genuinely ambiguous environments
  • Close the loop, hold the bar, and finish the unglamorous work
  • Think in systems: you see how the pieces connect, anticipate downstream effects, and design fixes that work across team boundaries
  • Test the smallest version of an idea in the real world before building the big one, and say clearly what you're not doing and why
  • Have owned several complex workstreams at once and made hard prioritization calls without much guidance
  • Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
  • We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed
  • Experience in deep-tech environments with technical recruiting complexity
  • Working knowledge of recruiting compliance, like OFCCP, GDPR, and regional employment law, and how it shapes process and systems decisions
  • Experience operating across multiple time zones and jurisdictions
  • Experience running recruiting or talent operations at global scale
