Vice President of Engineering

Join AMP as the Vice President of Engineering, where you will lead a diverse team of engineers and contractors in executing the company's technology vision and strategy. You will work closely with the executive team to define and execute the product roadmap, establish engineering best practices, and drive execution of hardware, software, and systems engineering programs. • Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering organizations of 30+ engineers and technical leaders across hardware, software, systems, and operations
• Strong operator with experience in budgeting, capital allocation, and portfolio prioritization
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments, balancing innovation, technical debt, delivery commitments, and long-term investments. Strategic technology leader who connects engineering investments to business outcomes
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred
• Experience leading multiple product launches in fast-paced, agile environments
• Comfortable making high-impact decisions and influencing executives, customers, investors, and external partners
• Proven track record of delivering products and technology programs that create measurable business value
• Customer- and business-oriented executive who balances innovation, operational excellence, and financial discipline
• Demonstrated success building high-performing teams, scalable engineering processes, and a culture of accountability and execution
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with high emotional intelligence and the ability to influence across all levels of an organization
• Hands-on leadership across the full product lifecycle, including architecture, development, program management, quality, deployment, and operations
• Builder of high-performing organizations and leadership teams
• 10+ years of engineering leadership experience in hardware-centric product organizations, including 4+ years at the Senior Director, VP, or equivalent executive level
• Experience building, operating, or supporting manufacturing facilities enabled by internally developed technology
• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Robotics

• Embedded Systems
• Industrial Automation, Manufacturing, and SCADA Systems
• Cloud Infrastructure
• DevOps and Platform Engineering
• Product Management
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
