Senior Software Engineer (Pipeline Infrastructure & Integration)

Join Zoox, a company revolutionizing transportation in the 21st century. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and implement methodologies, tools, and processes for safety-critical software. You will work with software engineers across the organization, develop and maintain tools for a High Assurance Process, and be the go-to owner for the entire SSE pipeline ecosystem. You will also turn raw issue data into dashboards and KPIs, help shape the future of the pipeline suite, and play a key role in ensuring the long-term stability and reliability of the software system.

• Design and implement methodologies, tools, and processes for safety-critical software that will revolutionize transportation.
• Develop and maintain tools that help cross-functional teams build software adhering to a High Assurance Process, working closely with CI tools and infrastructure.
• Be the go-to owner for the entire SSE pipeline ecosystem — from ClangTidy, ASAN/TSAN/Harden, and FBInfer — keeping every pipeline running smoothly across weekly, nightly, and CI.

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in computer science, electrical engineering, robotics, aerospace, or related fields and 7+ years of experience working on large code bases
• Experienced in drafting system design diagrams and documentation for customer communication and long-term maintenance
• Experience developing in Bazel/Python, setting up backend infrastructure (databases, web servers, shell scripts, etc.), and interfacing with software written in C++ and Python
• Comfortable to whip up quick scripts to automate tasks, such as generating metrics, establishing traceability, etc, when necessary
• Deep experience in enterprise-scale deployment practices and issues

• Proficiency in ReactJS, TypeScript and C++ (C++11, C++14, C++17) including memory management, threading, and common debugging pattern
