Software Engineer (Money Movement)

Join the Money Movement team at Coinbase, where you'll design and build backend systems for stablecoin-based transactions. As a Software Engineer, you'll own key projects from system design to production deployment, collaborate with various teams, and drive performance improvements across distributed systems. You should have proficiency in backend languages, cloud infrastructure, and experience in fintech or crypto.

• Demonstrated ability to write technical design documents and communicate architecture trade-offs to product and engineering stakeholders
• Proficiency in backend languages (e.g., Go, Java) and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP), with hands-on experience designing distributed systems and APIs
• Track record of serving as DRI for technical projects, driving end-to-end delivery from system design through production deployment
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality
• 2+ years of software engineering experience building and operating backend systems, ideally in fintech, payments, or crypto
• Experience integrating with or building on blockchain or crypto technologies such as stablecoins, on-chain payments, or smart contract platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Solana, Base)
