Associate Counsel (Business & Growth)

Join Compass International Holdings as an Associate Counsel (Business & Growth). In this role, you will provide proactive legal guidance, draft and negotiate contracts, interpret contractual terms, collaborate with various business teams, and support the continuous improvement of legal processes. You will be part of a talented in-house legal team and have a significant impact on the company's operations.

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of routine and mission-critical customer contracts that support and enable business operations.
• Collaborate with various business teams at Compass, advising on legal issues, approval processes, and business strategy in a business-friendly manner.
• Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes, with an emphasis on efficiency and scalability.

• Confidence operating in a fast-paced environment
• Background in contract drafting and negotiation
• Strong academic credentials including a JD and membership in good standing in at least one state bar (NY bar a plus)
• Detail-oriented with superior organizational skills
• A team player with low ego who can effectively work with other attorneys and colleagues
• A creative thinker with strong problem solving skills and the ability to stay calm, work independently, and effectively manage multiple deliverables with time-sensitive deadlines
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and an ability to clearly and simply explain complex ideas
• Familiarity and comfort in utilizing AI
• 2+ years of top-tier law firm and/or in-house experience with a focus on corporate matters
