Controller & Director of Accounting

Join our organization as the Controller & Director of Accounting, where you will oversee the entire accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. You will lead the development and implementation of accounting policies, internal controls, and financial procedures, while managing the accounting team and collaborating closely with executive leadership.

This role requires a blend of technical accounting expertise, operational rigor, and business partnership skills. - Lead and manage the accounting department, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting functions. - Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. - Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for accuracy and completeness. - Salesforce or comparable CRM for sales data reconciliation - CPA license required - Working knowledge of NetSuite required - Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards - Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems - Proven experience in a small to mid-size organization - Experience with commission automation software - Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - Experience with , Captivate, Stripe, and Maxio - Exposure to private equity or investor-backed environments - Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing change in dynamic environments - Advanced skills in financial modeling and data analysis tools - M&A integration or system implementation experience
