Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and build reliable features across the full stack, with a focus on both backend services and APIs as well as frontend development. • Design and build thoughtful, reliable features across the full stack, working on backend services and APIs as well as the frontend.
• Proactively evaluate tradeoffs and speak up about them, considering business value and client impact in your decision-making.
• Partner closely with product managers, designers, and QA to ship features that meet user needs and expectations.

• Solid grasp of REST APIs and GraphQL on both sides of the wire
• Comfortable working in AWS or a comparable cloud environment
• 4+ years of full-stack JavaScript/TypeScript development on production systems
• Production experience with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL
• Strong problem solving skills, high EQ, and the ability to communicate and collaborate well across a team
• Strong React experience including component architecture, state management, and performance
• Solid backend experience with Node.js and TypeScript, including building and maintaining production APIs and services
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar
• Active daily use of AI coding assistants like Copilot, Cursor, or Claude. This is expected, not optional
• Hands-on experience building AI-powered product features, whether that's LLM integration, agentic
• Mobile development experience as a nice to have
• Workflows, or AI-assisted UX
• Familiarity with nonprofit or social impact technology
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
