Product Counsel

Join Grindr, the world's largest social networking app for the LGBTQ+ community, as a Product Counsel. In this role, you will serve as a strategic legal partner to Grindr's product, engineering, design, and trust and safety teams. You will help shape product strategy and design from the beginning, identifying issues early and translating complex legal requirements into clear product choices. You will also advise on innovative, AI-enabled product features and experiences, and work closely with our dedicated Privacy team on matters involving sensitive data and privacy-by-design. • Serve as the primary day-to-day legal partner to Grindr’s Product Development teams across the full product lifecycle.
• Advise on innovative, AI-enabled product features and experiences, helping product teams develop clear, user-centered approaches to disclosure, consent, education, and choice.
• Build and maintain scalable legal tools, playbooks, review processes, and decision frameworks that bring Legal into the right conversations early without slowing the organization down.

• At least 8 years of experience, including significant in-house experience, providing product counseling to dynamic consumer internet businesses, with a demonstrated track record of excellence and professional advancement
• Strong cross-functional instincts and the credibility to partner effectively with product leaders, engineers, designers, and executives
• Demonstrated ability to create clarity and scalable process in fast-moving, ambiguous environments - you know how to keep the organization moving without sacrificing rigor
• J.D. from an accredited law school, a strong academic record, and active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• Exceptional legal judgment and the ability to turn difficult, unsettled legal questions into practical recommendations that product and business leaders can act on with confidence
