Business Development Representative

Join MeridianLink as a Business Development Representative (BDR) and play a crucial role in driving growth for financial institutions. In this position, you will connect with prospective customers, uncover business challenges, and create high-quality opportunities for the sales team. You will engage new prospects through inbound leads and targeted outbound outreach, identify and qualify sales opportunities, and partner closely with Account Executives to move qualified opportunities forward. This role is ideal for someone who is curious, driven, and excited about building relationships and making a direct impact on revenue.

• Identifying and qualifying sales opportunities, and passing them to inside and/or outside sales teams.
• Engaging new prospects through a mix of inbound leads and targeted outbound outreach, and nurturing prospects over time.
• Maintaining accurate activity and opportunity tracking in CRM tools, and staying informed on market trends.

• Strong communication skills, you’re comfortable talking with senior-level stakeholders
• Ability to balance activity with thoughtful, personalized outreach to uncover real business needs
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
• Curiosity and coachability; you want feedback and use it to get better
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
• Skilled in handling rejection and navigating objections
• 2+ years of experience in business development, inside sales, or a customer-facing role
