Senior QA Engineer (Web & Mobile Automation)

Join Perchwell as a Senior QA Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web and mobile applications. You'll maintain and expand our Playwright/TypeScript automation suite, improve our Appium mobile automation framework, and perform manual and exploratory testing. This is a hands-on role that combines automation engineering with regular testing, and you'll collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to ensure product quality.

• Maintaining and expanding the established Playwright/TypeScript automation suite, while improving the existing Appium mobile automation framework.
• Developing reliable mobile test coverage, initially prioritizing iOS, and improving mobile automation stability, CI/CD integration, and reporting.
• Collaborating with developers, product managers, SREs, and QA engineers to ensure product quality, and analyzing and triaging regression execution reports for Web and Mobile.

• This is a role for someone who cares about both precision and proactivity, who knows how to test deeply but also knows how to build systems that help others ship safely
• Ability to independently solve technical problems and collaborate effectively with engineering teams
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution
• 5+ years of QA experience, combining manual testing and test automation
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, exploratory testing, and defect investigation
• Strong hands-on Appium experience, including developing or significantly improving automation frameworks for native iOS and/or Android applications
• Experience troubleshooting mobile automation issues involving drivers, devices, native locators, and application lifecycle
• Strong TypeScript proficiency, including debugging, asynchronous programming, and maintainable code design
• Solid Playwright experience, including developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated tests
• Experience improving legacy automation frameworks or maintaining large-scale test suites
• Experience with API automated testing
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development and testing tools
