Global Channel Billing & Payment Manager

Join Fireworks AI as a Billing Operations Analyst, where you will own billing and receivables operations for our usage-based customer business. This role requires a strong understanding of billing fundamentals, systems thinking, data analysis, and a passion for automation. You will manage customer billing setup, monitor the usage-to-bill lifecycle, perform reconciliations, manage receivables, investigate billing disputes, support month-end close, execute controls, develop monitoring and controls, identify automation opportunities, and define and monitor operational metrics. Success in this role means building a highly automated and scalable usage-to-cash engine for Fireworks AI.

• Own operational billing processes for usage-based customers, manage customer billing setup, and ensure billing configurations are complete and accurate.
• Monitor the usage-to-bill lifecycle, perform usage-to-billing reconciliations, and investigate discrepancies between source usage data and customer invoices.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, and Finance Systems teams to investigate and resolve systemic billing issues, and manage receivables, aging, collections, and customer account exceptions.

• Strong understanding of billing, AR, reconciliation, and financial control concepts
• Ability to communicate effectively across both Finance and technical teams
• SQL or similar data-analysis experience is a plus
• Strong automation and process-improvement mindset
• 3–6+ years of experience in Billing Operations, Order-to-Cash, Finance Operations, Accounts Receivable, or a related function
• Strong analytical skills and comfort working with large or complex billing datasets
• Experience with ERP, billing, payment, CRM, and data/reporting tools
• Ability to investigate discrepancies across multiple systems and identify root causes
• Experience with SOX controls or operating in a controlled financial environment is preferred
• Experience with usage-based, consumption-based, SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, API, or other high-volume billing models is strongly preferred
