The Tuberculosis (TB) Clinic provides services such as chest x-rays, treatment for latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) and for TB disease, and TB prevention education. The nurse that fills this role will need proficient assessment skills along with independent working skills.

Assure that health policies and procedures adhere to legal and regulatory statutes and ethical standards of nursing practice Enter disease findings and lab work into the North Carolina Electronic Disease Surveillance System Report observations and communicating with persons from all socioeconomic backgrounds Assess clients' signs and symptoms, conduct various TB tests, administer prescribed medication Teach specific TB control measures **This position requires the nurse to be able to be fit tested for an N-95 respirator.
