Senior Rails Engineer (Product)

Join our Product Consumer team as a Senior Software Engineer. In this role, you will design and implement technical solutions to business problems, collaborate with other engineers, and mentor junior developers. You will work closely with Product Management, Analytics, and Operations to deliver business value. This hybrid position requires in-office work Tuesday through Thursday, with remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays. • Design and implement technical solutions to business problems, collaborating with other engineers to build optimal systems.
• Oversee projects end-to-end, estimate work, and break up problems into deliverable parts, ensuring successful deployment of web applications.
• Mentor junior developers, share expertise, and drive team initiatives, while also collaborating with product managers to plan and scope products.

• Expertise with building software features, enterprise architecture, and API integration to facilitate first in class software
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience with any programming language we welcome engineers from various technical backgrounds. Ideally we prefer 2+ years of Rails experience
• Project management skills, specifically the ability to oversee projects end-to-end, estimate work, and break up problems into deliverable parts
• Deployed multiple web applications from a full-stack perspective
• The ability to solve problems in more than one language, and know exactly why one of them is better
• Proficiency in one or more object-oriented programming languages
• Experience developing and maintaining asynchronous jobs and task queues (Sidekiq or similar frameworks)
• Comfortable with AI agent harnesses and writing skills
• Experience collaborating with product managers to plan and scope products iteratively
• Deployed software using Ruby, Rails, Go, or PostgreSQL
• Experience in the Finance domain is a nice-to-have
• Aspiration to grow into a people leadership role through mentoring teammates, driving team initiatives, and shaping priorities
