Senior Software Engineer (Infrastructure)

Join Orb as a Senior Software Engineer (Infrastructure) and play a key role in maintaining the reliability of our systems. You will be responsible for the infrastructure powering the entire product, leading efforts in infrastructure resiliency, improving observability and operability, and building performance-critical infrastructure. • Lead infrastructure resiliency efforts, including recovery mechanisms, tenant isolation, and load spike handling.
• Improve observability and operability of systems, and build performance-critical, user-facing infrastructure.
• Plan scaling initiatives to handle large customer growth and partner with other engineering teams to ensure reliable product features.

• You think deeply about edge cases, failure modes, bottlenecks, etc
• You enjoy building scalable infrastructure for a high-growth product
• You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, and you’ve worked in in the infrastructure domain for 4+ years
• You have a knack for investigating and debugging tricky errors and performance issues
• You can effectively mentor fellow engineers on best practices (observability, rollout strategies, risk mitigation, etc)
