Software Engineer (New Grad)

• Participate in the full life cycle of user-facing applications, from design to implementation and testing to production.
• Write, test, instrument, and deploy high-quality code with good test coverage, using modern abstractions and frameworks.
• Drive the innovation and evolution of ZipRecruiter by contributing to the development of scalable and effective applications.

• Fluency with at least 1 general purpose programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C++, Javascript)
• *OR a recent graduate with a graduation date from Spring 2025 to Fall 2026
• Demonstrated foundation in software engineering through previous internship experience or equivalent practical experience
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule from our Santa Monica headquarters
• Currently enrolled in a full-time, Computer Science degree-seeking program or related technical field with an expected graduation date in 2027
• An interest in becoming more specialized in at least one of the following disciplines: Big Data, Full Stack, or Machine Learning
• Experience working with both non-relational and relational database systems
• Fluency in multiple programming languages or ability to pick up new languages quickly
• Exposure to developing client side interactions using frameworks like React along with Vanilla Javascript, CSS, and HTML
• Analytical and problem-solving skills along with a self-starter mentality
• Passion for and experience with creating an intuitive, user-friendly experience
