Senior Manager of Internal Controls

Join our team as a Senior Financial Controls Manager, where you will play a critical role in establishing, maintaining, and improving our internal control environment. You will oversee the design, implementation, and effectiveness of financial and operational controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of internal control frameworks, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders across the organization.

• Overseeing the design, implementation, and effectiveness of financial and operational controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Collaborating with business process owners to develop and implement appropriate control activities to mitigate identified risks, and providing guidance and training on internal control principles.
• Managing the internal control testing schedule and coordinating with consultants and external auditors to ensure a robust internal control framework.

• Experience with Workday and Workiva preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex control issues to diverse audiences
• Experience in the insurance, banking, or technology industry preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• 4+ years of progressive experience in internal audit, internal controls, or public accounting, with a focus on SOX compliance
• Deep understanding of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO), generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and statutory accounting principles (SAP)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CIA certification preferred
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and testing internal controls
