Founding GTM Engineer

Join Trunk Tools as a Founding GTM Engineer, where you'll build the workflow automation and AI orchestration that powers our entire go-to-market funnel. This role requires a strong technical background, curiosity about the commercial side, and ideally, experience in GTM strategy or operations. You'll design and own the internal "AI operating system" that drives revenue generation, automate workflows across the full funnel, and build and own the AI-agent layer. This is a builder role with significant ownership and impact in the AI space.

• Design and own the internal "AI operating system" that powers the go-to-market funnel, including automated workflows and AI-agent layer.
• Build systems that automate the entire account journey from raw signal through enrichment, scoring, routing, and outbound orchestration.
• Evaluate new tools, manage vendor relationships, and recommend stack changes as the company scales.

• A product mindset: able to prioritize, scope, and ship the right thing for internal "customers" across GTM
• A builder's instinct for workflow automation and tool development - you go from a messy business problem to a working system fast, without waiting for a playbook
• Exceptional communication - you frame problems clearly, explain your thinking crisply, and translate between technical and commercial audiences
• AI-pilled and fluent with the frontier - you use the latest models, tools, API calls, and MCPs daily, and you know how to turn them into working automations
• Strong business sense - you can dive into a real-world GTM problem, reason about tradeoffs, and figure out what actually moves the needle
• Comfort in a fast-paced, ambiguous, execution-focused environment where you own outcomes end to end
• Construction, AEC, or vertical-SaaS industry familiarity
• Any direct sales, SDR, or customer-facing exposure
• Early-stage startup experience (comfort with ambiguity, no playbook)
• Hands-on experience with the latest and greatest GTM AI automation tools - Clay, Claude, Chat, Zapier, and similar
• Experience building and deploying AI agents / agentic workflows
• GTM strategy or operations background (RevOps, sales ops, growth) - a real plus, not a requirement
