Software Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure and Observability)

Join Nuro's growing Infrastructure team as a Software Engineer specializing in Cloud Infrastructure and Observability. In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally to align on customer needs, build scalable solutions for infrastructure-as-code and application deployment, improve developer experience and infrastructure reliability through automation, and create observability solutions to monitor production systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on customer needs and build high-quality, scalable solutions for infrastructure-as-code and application deployment.
• Build automation to improve developer experience, infrastructure reliability, and security, and create observability solutions to monitor production systems.
• Utilize your experience with observability tools, software development skills, and knowledge of cloud infrastructure to enhance system performance.

• You are experienced with building, scaling, and maintaining production systems
• You possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field or 3+ years of equivalent experience
• You have excellent communication skills
• You have start-up DNA: You have demonstrated an ability to thrive in the ambiguity of a dynamic, start-up environment or have the DNA to do so
• You are experienced with observability tools
• You have software development skills, preferably in Python or Go
• You are experienced with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes
• You are experienced with developing in a public cloud environment
• You have software architecture experience
• You have cloud/hybrid networking experience
• You have experience designing and building observability systems
• You have experience in deploying and managing large distributed applications (e.g. with Kubernetes and ArgoCD)
