Director of Engineering (Platform)

Join our team as the Director of Engineering (Platform). In this role, you will lead the vision and execution for the foundational systems that power our entire engineering organization. You will manage a group of engineering managers and staff engineers, and your ultimate goal will be to create secure, high-velocity "paved paths" that make our product teams incredibly fast while systematically reducing technical debt and security risks. Your responsibilities will include directing the monolith evolution, driving the AI-native SDLC, enabling AI feature development, leading application security, overseeing core shared services, navigating org-wide boundaries, and building a world-class organization.

• Diriger la vision et l'exécution des systèmes fondamentaux qui alimentent l'ensemble de l'organisation d'ingénierie, en se concentrant sur la modularisation du monolithe Python/FastAPI et la transition vers une culture d'ingénierie axée sur l'IA.
• Gérer un groupe de responsables d'ingénierie et d'ingénieurs, en agissant en tant que multiplicateur stratégique pour l'entreprise et en traitant la plateforme interne comme un produit de premier ordre.
• Diriger la stratégie technique pluriannuelle pour décomposer en toute sécurité le monolithe Python/Jinja hérité en une architecture FastAPI moderne et modulaire, en utilisant des techniques de migration de base de données sans temps d'arrêt.

• Deep strategic understanding of Application Security principles, Identity/Access Management (OAuth 2.0, OIDC), and modern API traffic management
• An executive track record of successfully guiding massive monolith-to-modular migrations and decoupling shared database schemas in high-traffic, business-critical environments
• Exceptional executive communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical, security, and AI trade-offs into business value
• 15+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5+ years in engineering leadership, including explicitly managing managers and leading multiple teams
• High AI Fluency: Proven experience architecting systems that support AI features (LLMs, RAG, tool calling) and a track record of driving AI-assisted development tools (AI SDLC) across engineering teams
• Strong technical fluency in Python and FastAPI ecosystems, with the ability to guide Staff-level engineers through complex architectural decisions involving both modern APIs and legacy applications
