Job Description
Join Payscale, a highly profitable SaaS company, as a Senior Financial Analyst. In this role, you will be an integral part of the FP&A team, working closely with cross-functional teams and driving operational improvements. You will have the opportunity to learn about the SaaS business, make a difference every day, and help drive the company towards a successful financial exit. The position offers flexible paid time off, comprehensive medical benefits, and opportunities for professional development.
- AI-forward: you are genuinely interested in AI and eager to use it to automate manual tasks, improve workflows, and realize efficiencies in how FP&A work gets done
- You like to dive into the data, run analyses, and then help make recommendations to others on how we can improve
- You are an inquisitive individual and like to understand how things work
- You’re adept at building relationships across the organization, helping translate what the numbers mean to others and what we should do about it
- You have a strong bias towards building (and rebuilding) things instead of simply maintaining existing processes. When you do run processes, you’re always thinking about how to make them better
- Be ok with working very hard, while being rewarded for it
- Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders
- 4+ years of financial analysis experience or a related field. Multiple years of experience in a relevant environment is more important than any specific amount of time. Relevant experience means SaaS/tech, PE or VC backed, and a high intensity environment. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. We do want to see steady progression in your career
- Ideally, experience with go-to-market (GTM) and top-line FP&A reporting and analytics within SaaS—forecasting and analyzing ARR, bookings, pipeline, and the drivers of revenue
- Please be highly analytical, with a keen eye for detail and a learning mindset
- Experience in a SaaS business model is a strong positive, but we are ultimately looking for talent and fit
- We are a Microsoft shop. Please have excellent Excel skills, or be able to get there fast
- Technical: you are proficient in Excel and have used Adaptive Insights in the past (or some sort of FP&A planning tool)
- Accuracy: you strive for excellence and have great attention to detail
- Time management: you understand and are flexible when we need to re-prioritize work based on the needs of the business
- We know the confidence gap and imposter syndrome can get in the way of meeting spectacular candidates, so please don’t hesitate to apply — we’d love to hear from you
