Product Quality Engineering Intern

Join Motorola Solutions as a Product Quality Engineering Intern. In this hands-on role, you will apply structured problem-solving methodologies to resolve complex technical challenges across international supply chains and cross-functional engineering teams. You will be responsible for quality planning, incident management, defect and trend analysis, KPI metrics and reporting, preventive strategy, and cross-functional collaboration. • Initiate detailed quality plans to set clear project goals that align with customer requirements and deliverable benchmarks.
• Facilitate cross-functional root-cause investigations using the 8D methodology to resolve stop-ship/stop-build events efficiently.
• Drive complex problem resolution and manage customer complaints in JIRA, utilizing return data trends to champion design and manufacturing upgrades.

• Mindset: Detail-oriented, proactive team player with a passion for process improvement and customer advocacy
• Technical Aptitude: Exposure to workflow tools like JIRA and data analysis tools for tracking trends and metrics
• Methodologies: Familiarity with structured root-cause analysis frameworks (e.g., 8D, Lean Six Sigma concepts, or DMAIC)
• Communication: Clear presentation and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical data to cross-functional partners and leadership
• Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field with a graduation date no late then Dec. 2030
