Software Engineer (Infrastructure Platform)

Join Chime, a leading financial technology company, as a Software Engineer on the Infrastructure Platform team. In this role, you will develop tools to create and maintain cloud infrastructure, automate management of complex service-oriented applications, and create frameworks to ensure the stability and scalability of Chime's platform. You will work with technologies such as Terraform, ArgoCD, AWS resources, Ruby on Rails, and Go Lang. • Automate the management of cloud infrastructure and complex service-oriented applications, ensuring stability and scalability.
• Develop tools and processes to enable security, scalability, and availability of products serving customers, including managing Kubernetes Helm charts.
• Collaborate with product development engineers to build services according to modern design patterns, fostering strong relationships with colleagues.

• Experience creating and working with containers, as well as using container orchestration tools and managing Kubernetes Helm charts
• Previous professional experience in a DevOps/SRE/ProdEng role supporting customer-facing web services
• Experience supporting relational or no-SQL databases, message buses, caching services, and other common service components
• Experience with some of this tech - AWS services, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Datadog, Terraform
• Strong development experience in Ruby on Rails and Go Lang
• Experience using configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools, including maintaining Terraform modules
• Familiarity with CI/CD and testing platforms, with a focus on continuous deployments
• Familiarity with common monitoring, logging, and observability platforms
• More than 2 years of cloud and Infrastructure experience
• A positive attitude, a collaborative mindset, and a focus on the customer
• Previous success in enabling effective partnerships and strong communication with other engineers and teams
• Experience building and managing highly-available public cloud infrastructure and services, with an emphasis on stability, scalability, and security
