FP&A Manager

Join Cape, a fast-growing technology company, as our first FP&A Manager. In this role, you will build and scale the company's financial forecasting, planning, and reporting infrastructure. You will partner with leadership to create annual budgets, maintain monthly forecasts, and own monthly budget-vs-actuals analysis. You will also define and track KPIs, assist in preparing board materials and investor updates, and serve as an embedded finance partner to leaders. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of experience in corporate finance, strong financial modeling skills, and excellent communication abilities.

• Collaborate with leadership to build annual budgets and maintain an up-to-date monthly forecast.
• Own monthly budget-vs-actuals and variance analysis in partnership with accounting, while reporting on monthly outlook v. forecast.
• Define and track KPIs; build dashboards for real-time visibility into business performance to ensure leadership is working from a shared set of numbers.

• Ownership mentality and bias toward building/automating rather than manual process
• Familiarity with modern FP&A/ERP stacks: NetSuite, Adaptive, Anaplan, Pigment, Vareto, Looker/Tableau/Sigma
• Thrives ambiguous, fast-paced, high-growth environments
• Advanced financial modeling (from scratch, not just template-editing); strong Excel/Google Sheets required, SQL strongly preferred
• Strong business-partnering instincts - translating numbers into narratives, influencing without authority
• 4+ years in corporate finance, BizOps investment banking, private equity, or management consulting, with at least 2 years at a technology company
• Track record owning a planning cycle and partnering with senior/executive stakeholders
• Excellent written/verbal communication, especially tailoring messages for executive audiences
