Principal Technical Architect

Join Salesforce as a Principal Technical Architect, where you will leverage your technical expertise and business acumen to align Salesforce solutions with customers' digital transformation and cloud adoption strategies. You will act as a subject matter expert in business strategy, application architecture, data, integration, security, and AI. Your role will involve understanding business and technical requirements, determining optimal technologies for customer-driven architectures, leading discussions on change programs, and developing repeatable propositions and go-to-market strategies for sales teams.

• Act as a subject matter expert in business strategy, application architecture, data, integration, security, and AI.
• Use a consultative approach to understand business and technical requirements, and determine optimal technologies to leverage in customer-driven architectures.
• Lead discussions around change programs from both a business and technical perspective, and develop repeatable propositions and go-to-market strategies for sales teams.

• Prompt Engineering: Proven ability to optimize prompts for LLMs using techniques like RAG and chain-of-thought
• Data360: Deep understanding of Salesforce Data Cloud for unifying and activating customer data
• Generative AI Architecture: Experience architecting enterprise AI solutions, including API gateways and data pipelines
• Agentic AI & Agentforce: Direct experience developing and managing agentic AI frameworks and autonomous agents
• Flow & Orchestration: Advanced proficiency with Salesforce Flow for complex AI-driven business processes
• The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the following skills, which are critical for designing modern, AI-powered solutions
• Coding experience and willingness to work with code (Apex, Node, Python, Java, etc.)
• B.S., M.S. or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering or MIS
• Solid grasp of network, application, and information security principles
• Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills with executive audiences
• Strong understanding of database fundamentals and data management tools
• Strategic problem-solving, thought leadership, and effective time management for multiple projects
• Salesforce Certifications and/or Trailhead Superbadges
• Proficiency with software development and application lifecycle management (git, test automation, CI/CD, release management)
• Deep knowledge of enterprise software applications, delivery, and system architecture
• Hands-on experience in customer-facing architect or consultant roles
• Competence in integration architectures/patterns
• Experience with design thinking, persona-based discovery, or compliance and risk mitigation
• Graduate study or proven experience in a relevant area
