Director of Accounting

In this role, you will oversee the monthly close process, manage the accounting team, and support strategic initiatives for operational excellence and scalable growth. • Oversee the monthly close process for the sales to cash cycle, manage the accounting team, and support strategic initiatives.
• Identify areas of opportunity around the month-end close process, lead projects to drive improvements, and develop scalable AR processes.
• Collaborate with the Financial Planning and Analysis team to review monthly results, maintain ongoing compliance of SOX controls, and assist with audits.

• Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to manage and develop a team, maintain a high level of excellence and maintain strong internal controls
• Able to work with a high volume of transactions in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork and business partnering capabilities
• Big 4 Public Accounting and strong SOX 404 experience
• Experience implementing accounting systems or process automation
• Ability to leverage technology for efficient data gathering and analysis
• Able to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
• Forward looking thinker who can articulate the need for and implement process improvements
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting
• Current CPA
• IFRS experience preferred
• 8+ years experience with a combination of public accounting and/or public company industry experience, preferably at a rapidly growing retail and e-commerce company with a focus on the sales-to-cash cycle
• NetSuite OneWorld experience required
• Familiarity with international accounting processes, working with multiple currencies and international consolidations
• In depth knowledge of US GAAP
• The ability to synthesize large sets of data from multiple, sometimes unrelated, sources
• Someone who can take a task from 0 to 100 without a lot of direction; a self-starter that makes it happen
