Solutions Architecture Director

Join Cohere Health as the Director of Solutions Architecture, where you'll lead a team of Solution Architects in designing solutions for complex healthcare clients. This remote-first role requires travel to Boston for onboarding and occasional team meetings. You'll manage a team of 8 Solution Architects, set the standard for solution design quality, and represent Solution Architecture in cross-functional planning and with client executive stakeholders. • Manage a team of Solution Architects, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development.
• Set the standard for solution design quality across the team, guiding clients to existing functionality and designing future-state workflows.
• Partner with Solution Owners, Forward Deployed Engineers, Technical Program Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure solution design aligns with delivery timelines.

• Familiarity with large, complex platforms — claims systems, utilization/care management platforms, or similarly mission-critical enterprise systems
• 3+ years directly managing a technical team — solution architects, FDEs, technical consultants, or similar
• Demonstrated ability to lead and make decisions in ambiguous, fast-changing environments without waiting for perfect information
• Strong technical judgment paired with genuine people leadership — comfortable going deep on a hard technical problem and coaching a direct report through a tough conversation in the same week
• 12+ years in solution architecture, technical consulting, or similar client-facing technical roles, including significant healthcare experience
• Experience presenting to and influencing client executive stakeholders is a plus
• Background scaling a technical team through rapid company growth is a plus
• Deep experience with payer operations, utilization management, or prior authorization specifically
