Senior Software Engineer (Infrastructure)

Join Headway, a mental healthcare startup, as a Senior Software Engineer in Infrastructure. You will be responsible for owning the cloud platform, driving deployment architecture, capacity and scaling, and building a self-serve infrastructure platform. You should have deep AWS expertise, strong infrastructure-as-code experience, and a track record of making deploys safe and self-serve for other teams.

• You make other engineers better through architecture reviews, runbooks, and paved-road tooling that raises the baseline for everyone who ships on the platform
• A senior engineer who combines deep cloud and infrastructure expertise with the instincts to drive alignment across teams
• Deep AWS expertise and production ownership of compute and networking at scale (ECS, EKS, RDS, networking, IAM)
• Strong infrastructure-as-code experience, particularly Terraform, including designing self-serve platforms for other engineering teams
• Track record making deploys safe and self-serve for other teams, not just your own
• 5 or more years in platform, infrastructure, or SRE roles at companies running significant production traffic
• Hands-on autoscaling and capacity engineering, and container orchestration with ECS and/or EKS
• Kubernetes and EKS depth
• FinOps and cloud cost optimization experience
• Experience in healthcare or other regulated environments
• Observability tooling at scale (Datadog)
