Job Description
Join Altruist, a fast-growing financial technology company, as a Senior Product Manager for the Portfolio Reporting Experience team. In this high-visibility role, you will own the product strategy and roadmap for reporting experiences that turn complex financial and market data into clear, actionable insights. You will work across various teams to improve the quality of the experience and expand the value Altruist delivers to advisors. This role is ideal for a product leader with customer empathy, quantitative thinking, financial fluency, and technical depth.
- Strategic direction and long-term roadmap ownership for Altruist’s portfolio reporting experience.
- Leading product discovery through user interviews, market research, competitive analysis, and product analytics.
- Collaborating with Engineering and Design to define, scope, and ship high-impact products that improve the customer experience.
- Experience working within a regulated industry, with an appreciation for accuracy, auditability, controls, and operational risk
- Deep technical literacy and the ability to engage engineers as peers, challenge assumptions, and understand system tradeoffs
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to make complex ideas clear and actionable
- A demonstrated understanding of modern product discovery and product delivery practices
- Experience working with financial, market, or portfolio data and communicating quantitative concepts clearly to different audiences
- 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in financial technology, investment management, or another data-intensive product environment
- Familiarity with market-data providers such as Morningstar is a plus
- Strong financial acumen and a genuine interest in investment concepts, portfolio analysis, performance measurement, and reporting standards such as GIPS
- A track record of effective product development work with measurable results
- Bachelor's degree or master’s degree with a focus on STEM or quantitative areas of study. CFA is a plus
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, startup environment
- Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At Altruist we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role, but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles
