Senior Identity Risk & Scam Analyst

Join Coinbase as a Senior Identity Risk & Scam Analyst. In this high-impact role, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating account takeover (ATO) and scam risk across the Coinbase ecosystem. You will define risk metrics, shape prevention strategies, and partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to stay ahead of evolving threats. You will also own end-to-end risk controls for ATO and scam prevention, define risk success metrics, and leverage data to assess risk and make decisions impacting large customer segments.

• Identifying and mitigating account takeover (ATO) and scam risk across the Coinbase ecosystem.
• Building critical defenses that protect users and platform integrity, using data to drive risk decisions.
• Defining risk metrics, shaping prevention strategies, and partnering cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Data Science.

• Proven ability to independently scope and deliver analytics projects while collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Data Science, and Engineering teams
• 6+ years of hands-on risk experience in e-commerce or financial services, with at least 2 years focused on combating ATO and scams in a Fraud, Trust and Safety, or Account Security function
• Proficiency with business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Superset) to build dashboards and reporting frameworks
• Familiarity with blockchain analytics and fraud trends within the cryptocurrency ecosystem
• 2+ years of professional experience in data analysis using SQL and Python, including working with large-scale databases
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality
