Staff Software Engineer

Join Omada Health as a Staff Software Engineer, where you'll play a key role in expanding our impact in cardiometabolic care and physical activity. This is an early-stage, high-ownership position that will allow you to shape the development of new member- and care team-facing experiences. You'll primarily work on the backend but should be adaptable to work across the stack when needed. Your responsibilities will include owning architecture end-to-end, setting the quality bar, and helping other engineers make better technical decisions. You'll also work directly with stakeholders to design solutions and drive technical decisions for delivery.

• 10+ years of experience writing readable, tested, and efficient code
• Understanding of logging, monitoring and telemetry
• Interest in learning new tools, languages, workflows, and philosophies to grow
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills (verbal and written)
• Experience with designing scalable, maintainable and secure APIs
• Familiarity with LLMs and GenAI best practices
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• A polyglot builder mindset: strong in at least one of our modern backend languages but able to move fluidly across the stack optimizing for shipping the right solution
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), and deployment tools (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Experience with a relational database (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Understanding of DevOps concepts and principles
• Proven experience using AI-assisted development workflows to move quickly from ambiguity to shipped, resilient product experiences
• Experience with Ruby on Rails
