Senior Manager of Corporate Development & Ventures

Join MongoDB as a Senior Manager of Corporate Development & Ventures. In this role, you will drive our inorganic growth strategy, independently source and evaluate M&A and investment opportunities, and serve as the primary driver for transactions from LOI to close. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, Finance, and Legal, and have regular exposure to our Ventures platform. The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of experience in Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Venture Capital, and demonstrate strong judgment and accountability.

• Independently source, evaluate, and run a steady pipeline of M&A and investment opportunities, from initial engagement through LOI.
• Step in as the primary driver across every Corp Dev workstream to close deals, including running tight, focused diligence across technical, product, commercial, and financial dimensions.
• Partner with the Ventures team to surface actionable opportunities from a strong, continuously refreshed pipeline, and maintain a precise understanding of the competitive and technological landscape.

• Can engage credibly with technical leaders while maintaining a clear business perspective
• Is comfortable operating independently, while knowing when to bring in the Sr. Director, VP, or other senior leaders
• Holds a high bar for analytical rigor, but knows when to move without perfect data
• Has meaningful experience running deal workstreams and is ready to own transactions end-to-end with real autonomy
• Has 4–8 years of experience in Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Venture Capital
• Demonstrates strong judgment, particularly under time pressure and incomplete information
• Is direct, low-ego, and accountable — focused on outcomes, not process
