Harness Manufacturing Intern (Summer 2027)

Join Astranis, a leading satellite technology company, as a Harness Manufacturing Intern for the summer of 2027. This twelve-week internship offers a unique opportunity to work on challenging projects and gain hands-on experience in a production environment. As an intern, you will support the design, build, and continuous improvement of wire harness and cable assembly processes, participate in quality inspections, and assist with equipment qualification and process improvement initiatives.

• Support the design, build, and continuous improvement of wire harness and cable assembly processes.
• Assist with wire harness and cable assembly builds, including cutting, stripping, crimping, labeling, and lacing.
• Participate in quality inspections and help analyze manufacturing issues such as defects, rework, and throughput constraints.

• Strong communication skills
• Familiarity with spacecraft systems and operation
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize
• Currently pursuing a four-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
• A passion for hardware development, including working in a fast-paced environment and hands-on design and development
• Experience working a laboratory or industrial environment
• Hands-on experience in designing, building, and testing any type or hardware
• Experience in CAD
• Direct electrical or mechanical design experience
