Senior Manager of Technical Accounting

Join Blend, a leading technology company in the financial services industry, as a Senior Manager of Technical Accounting. In this high-profile role, you will lead the Technical Accounting function and address complex accounting matters. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, provide technical accounting guidance, and stay current with accounting standards. Additionally, you will lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process for technical accounting matters and take a leadership role in special projects and workflow process improvements.

• Lead technical accounting research and provide guidance for complex and emerging accounting issues.
• Serve as a liaison with external auditors to ensure concurrence with accounting positions.
• Design, implement, and operate SOX 404 controls over assigned technical accounting areas.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• A track record of process automation, with a passion for applying AI to accounting workflows
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
• 10+ years of progressive experience with concentration on technical accounting; strong technical expertise in multiple facets of US GAAP and capability to conduct independent research
• Active CPA
• Prior public accounting experience required, Big 4 preferred
