Senior Accountant

Join our growing finance team as a Senior Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for executing monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc accounting deliverables, maintaining accurate financial records, managing the monthly close process, preparing reconciliations and journal entries, and supporting financial reporting and audit activities. You will collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance on all accounting matters and identify and implement process improvement opportunities. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of GAAP, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

• Execution of monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting deliverables, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Initial review of work completed by Accounting Analysts and execution of the monthly close process.
• Collaboration with other departments to ensure compliance on all accounting matters and identify process improvement opportunities.

• The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of GAAP, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams
• This role is ideal for an experienced accountant who enjoys owning core accounting responsibilities and contributing to a high-performing, scalable finance team
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or 4 years of relevant experience
• 3+ years of related experience
• Experience using OpenAI Codex or other similar AI tools
• Experience using Workday as an ERP system
• Certified Public Accountant licensure (CPA)
• Experience in a similar position at a health insurance company
