Staff Software Engineer

Join Altana as a Staff Software Engineer, where you'll lead the development of an AI-driven platform that scales to a massive trove of data and a diverse customer base. You'll work closely with product and design teams, engage with customers, and drive the end-to-end product development process. You'll set the technical bar for your team, mentor engineers, and make practical, iterative design decisions.

• Lead the development and implementation of AI-driven products, ensuring they meet customer needs and drive adoption.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to form hypotheses about customer pain points and lead a small team in turning those hypotheses into shipped products.
• Mentor and guide other engineers in customer-centric, hypothesis-driven product development, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

• You’ve deployed production code and services to cloud-hosted environments
• Self-starter with demonstrated experience working on large, complex problems
• You have strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience leading other engineers on complex projects
• You care deeply about engineering excellence, clean code, and knowledge-sharing
• You have demonstrated experience delivering incremental releases from proof-of-concept to MVP to production
• Experience with Python Machine Learning toolsets (Numpy, Pandas, Dedupe)
• Experience with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
