Senior Software Engineer (Golang)

Join our engineering team in Boston as a Senior Software Engineer with strong Golang experience. In this hands-on role, you will work on building scalable services for our next-generation cloud platform, which combines digital video, wearable data, and athlete information. You will have ownership across the development lifecycle, solve complex engineering problems, and contribute to the architecture and technical direction of our platform.

• Design, build and maintain scalable, reliable and maintainable services in Golang, contributing to the architecture and technical direction of the cloud platform.
• Take ownership of services and features from planning and design through to production, solving complex engineering problems across distributed systems, APIs, data and cloud infrastructure.
• Participate in technical design discussions, architecture reviews and code reviews, contributing to our test strategy and writing high-quality automated tests.

• Experience designing, building and operating production-grade backend services
• A willingness to take ownership, contribute ideas and continuously improve
• Experience with AWS, ideally including ECS, EC2, Lambda, SNS and SQS
• A strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including testing, reliability, maintainability and code quality
• Working knowledge of REST, GraphQL and/or gRPC
• Experience with CI/CD automation and modern software delivery practices
• 5+ years' recent experience delivering multiple scalable services into production
• Experience working with cloud-based and distributed systems
• Experience working with databases such as Postgres and/or MongoDB
• Strong professional experience with Golang
• Working knowledge of containerisation
