Job Description
Join Tabs as a Senior Product Manager, where you'll own the Usage & Pricing domain, shaping the vision, data model, and roadmap for how Tabs handles usage, rating, and pricing. You'll work closely with engineering on technical architecture decisions and establish pricing as a first-class product domain. This role requires strong technical fluency, 5+ years of product management experience, and a comfort with ambiguity. Enjoy benefits like unlimited PTO, fully paid health insurance, complimentary meals, and generous parental leave.
- Define the vision, data model, and roadmap for how Tabs handles usage, rating, and pricing, including aggregating usage and calculating what’s owed.
- Establish pricing as a first-class product domain by defining and owning the data model for pricing, including price books/rate cards and the quantity/pricing layer.
- Own usage aggregation and usage commitments by defining how usage is aggregated and rated against contracted amounts, and owning the commitment model.
- Strong technical fluency — comfortable reasoning about data modeling and architecture tradeoffs directly with engineers, including on foundational/structural decisions
- 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in fintech, B2B SaaS, or platform/infrastructure products
- Experience owning a data model or product layer that many downstream workflows depend on — you think in systems, not just features
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity — you can bring structure to an evolving problem space without needing it fully specified for you
- Thrives in fast-moving, high-growth environments where scope and priorities evolve
- Exceptional cross-functional operator who can align technical and non-technical stakeholders, including engineering leadership and executives
- Experience owning a public or developer-facing API as a product surface — versioning, rate limits, and documentation included
- Familiarity with billing, revenue recognition, or the contract-to-cash lifecycle
- Experience with usage-based billing/pricing infrastructure (e.g., at a billing platform like Stripe, Metronome, Orb, Zuora, or Chargebee, or owning pricing/monetization at a usage-based product company)
