Information Systems Security Officer

Join our team as an Information Systems Security Officer, where you will be the face of our Information Security program for both internal and external stakeholders. You will provide expertise in documenting security controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements, and coordinating audits and assessments. You will also guide and mentor program teams, maintain and update accreditation documentation, and build positive relationships with stakeholders. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong background in cybersecurity and experience in a federal contractor environment.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for the Information Security program, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity framework requirements and regulatory standards.
• Plan, prepare for, schedule, and coordinate audits, assessments, and tests, and assist the ISSM and IT Security team in meeting contractual obligations.
• Provide expert knowledge of security tools and frameworks, guide and mentor program teams, and maintain and update System Security Plans (SSPs) and other accreditation documentation.

• Flexibility and willingness to work overtime, including weekends and overnight as needed
• Professional experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or similar environment offering cybersecurity services
• Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot security issues and provide user support
• At least one DoD baseline security certification, such as CISSP, Sec+, A+Sec, OR the ability to rapidly receive such certification
• BS in Cybersecurity or related technical field with 3+ years of relevant industry experience (5+ years’ experience in lieu of degree)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Expertise in Change Management
• Experience working in DoD classified operating environments
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) | ISACA
• Experience interpreting, implementing, and assessing DISA STIGs
• Project management experience with the capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure
• Professional technical leadership in a security operations center (SOC) or similar cybersecurity service
